She didn’t want to be melodramatic but more and more often it felt like going to school, her part-time job and even hanging out with her friends didn’t feel like much fun. She dropped into my Weekly meditation and loved the experience, but it didn’t last long enough.

In Counselling she was able to get in touch with all the losses she was feeling because of the pandemic:  her graduation/ prom, hanging out with HS friends before they all scattered, not being able to get to know her new classmates because classes were online…

Gradually she admitted to herself there’d been a lot of losses she’d just expected herself to gloss over and adjustments to her life she didn’t feel prepared for. Now she’s able to recognize and allow her feelings much more easily.

From there, her choices became clearer about where to find her ‘old’ self and enjoy her life again.
